Guided by Kids Fundraising Drive for 2018!

Guided by Kids students are speaking, starting to research, and considering a community project to complete this school year.

At our next class this Thursday, we will have high school speech competitors model original oratory and extemporaneous speaking so we can begin to prepare for our own speeches to take to middle school competitions in April and May.

In upcoming classes, we will also learn some basics of debate and take part in an informal debate competition hosted at an area middle school.

In order to accomplish our goals, we need to raise money for expenses for the rest of this year and the beginning of next year, when we hope to grow and serve more students in the Omaha area!

Guided by Kids pays one teacher/coach salary at $300 per month for 9 months a year, along with website fees, and liability and workmen's compensation insurance costs. we will also pay all entry fees and transportation costs for our students.

Board of Directors members and President/Teacher/Coach Fred Robertson all donate their time, but our expenses to operate will total roughly $4500-$5000 for 2018.

Our application for our federal 501 c3 status is filed but we have not received final word from the IRS, so we can't tell you that your donation will be tax deductible. However, if we do get that determination of 501 c3 status, we will let you know, and your donation will be tax deductible retroactively.
